AREA SPORTS INFORMATION

Family Fun Day

18th August 2002

Following last year's successful wet 'n wild formula. More details to follow.

Date and time : Sunday 18th August, an afternoon thing.

Venue : Trinity Guild Rugby Ground, near Coventry Airport (same as last year).

Dress : hmmm ... depends on the weather. Bring spares. There are changing facilities available.

Meal : nothing provided, however barbecues are allowed on the field, as are picnics - basically sort yourself out! There will be a large barbecue pit available for your use. There will be a bar from 12 - 6pm.

Cost : £10 per family, £5 to individual adults (a free drink for all, a free ice cream for children)

What do I get for my money?
We have exclusive use of the clubhouse which is fully licenced and will be open for the duration.  There will be a Bar-B-Q arranged which will burn all afternoon. (bring your own food).  There will be sports arranged for:  Tablers, Ladies, and kids.  Some of the kids sports will involve (weather permitting) water and gunge!  (bring a change of clothes).  (When I think about it, it may be wise for adults to throw in a clean top also!!).  There will be some appropriate trophies to hand out.  There will be a PA system in use.  I will try to plan fowl weather alternative sports.  I will send out a time table of events, nearer the time.

The event is not a profit making event and I will submit accounts afterwards.

The timing has been chosen to reflect the fact that July and early August is when most families go away.  September is starting to get a bit cold and the 25th Aug is on a bank holiday weekend.

Please pass this information on to as many Tablers and 41 clubs as possible.  If you have any questions at this early stage of planning, please ask.  I look forward to seeing as many as possible at this event which I'm sure will be excellent fun.  It would be helpful to have an idea of numbers as soon as possible.

Yours in Table,

Nigel Clarke
