Disc golf
Monday 28 June 2004
More tossing than you can shake a stick at!
Date and time : Monday 28th June, 7pm for 7:30 toss-off, or later if you're OK to do less tossing.
Dress: walking boots recommended, there are some concealed rabbit holes about
Cost: about a tenner - to include your round, tips from the 'pro' and a barbecue meal & drinks
Meal: moderately burnt meat most likely, about 9:30 or so
Venue: We'll be doing 13
of the 18 holes at Quarry Park golf
course, between Kenilworth and L/Spa. It's on Old Milverton Lane,
the road opposite where the B4113 joins the A452, at the Nuffield
Hospital, click here for a map. About quarter of a mile on the right is the
entrance to the BPAS Blackdown Clinic. Go up the drive and park
in the field on the left just before the Clinic reception.
As on our previous visit, Derek "Del" Robins, the
renowned Disc Golf champion will attend, fresh from winning the
Dutch Open. He will provide us with coaching, and lend us and try
to sell us FrisbeesTM.
There may not be enough professional loan discs to go around so please bring your own favourite amateur 'flying disc' and have it laughed at!
Guests very welcome for this very different event. Lots of advance notice so bring them along.
This is an attendance event, apologies required by Wednesday 23rd June if you're not coming. Same date to book in 41ers, honoraries and guests, so we can cater for the grub and drinks.
