Airkix (indoor skydiving) 12th November 2007

The next RT event, on Monday 12th Nov, is President's Night, organised by me - "El Pres". I've been banging on about it for ages well it's now coming home to roost..... The event is indoor freefall at Airkix in Milton Keynes (see www.airkix.com). Take a look at the website to see photos of dogs, buzzards and naturists doing the stuff (not all at the same time I'm sad to say!)

We have to be with them by 8:30 latest or you lose your slot, so I propose we assemble about 7:45 to 8 absolute latest in Xscape MacDonalds and cram some MacTucker down our necks first. Apparently freefall doesn't make you MacSick. I'd guess an hour is a very safe journey time from Southam at that stage of the evening. Parking is available pretty much right outside Xscape. For those who've skied there before, it's in the very same place.

Clothes: comfortable, casual dress with tight lace up trainers but pref no collared shirts. The deal here is that a collared shirt might just piss you off as the collar thrashes mercilessly against your neck in freefall flight conditions. Also the shoes have to be tight lace-ups (no deck shoes) so they don't fall off but not walking boot stylie as these might damage a tutor.

Money: on account (if you have one) if we can manage a table cheque book. Bring a £1 coin for the locker. Probably simplest to buy your own MacD meal too! The flying is £30 apiece for tuition and 2 x 1 minute slots which should be more than enough on a first outing. This is a opt-in event due to there only being 10 places available. Let me know ASAP if you're upferit. I will hold this open for Tablers, honoraries and real prospectives for a week then open to 41ers and hangers on who have also shown interest. Don't keep me hangin on, let me know right now.
